1. Program Description

David Kim Salon offers an SMS messaging program that provides subscribers with the following types of communications:

  • Appointment reminders
  • Appointment confirmations
  • Promotional offers
  • Salon updates

These messages are sent to help you stay informed about your appointments, receive timely reminders, and learn about promotions and updates from David Kim Salon. Our salon has two locations in the Greater Toronto Area: Vaughan Mills and Aurora, Ontario.

2. Opt-In Consent

By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent checkbox on our opt-in page, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from David Kim Salon at the phone number you provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase or service.

You understand that by opting in, you authorize David Kim Salon to send text messages using an automatic telephone dialing system. Your consent to receive marketing messages is entirely voluntary.

3. Opt-Out and Support

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time using any of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP: Text STOP to any message you receive from us. You will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.
  • Reply HELP: Text HELP to any message for assistance with the SMS program.
  • Call us: Contact us at (647) 559-2300 to request removal from the SMS program.
  • Email us: Send a request to info@davidsalon.ca with the subject "SMS Opt-Out" and include your phone number.

After opting out, you may continue to receive appointment-related messages if you have a pending booking. You can re-subscribe at any time by visiting our opt-in page.

4. Message Frequency and Fees

Message frequency varies. The number of messages you receive depends on your appointment activity and promotional campaigns. Typically, you may receive:

  • Appointment reminders: 1-2 messages per appointment
  • Appointment confirmations: 1 message per booking
  • Promotional offers: Up to 4 messages per month
  • Salon updates: Occasional messages as needed

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan. David Kim Salon is not responsible for any charges applied by your wireless provider.

5. Service Description

David Kim Salon is a premier hair salon with locations in Vaughan and Aurora, Ontario. We specialize in haircuts, colour, balayage, keratin treatments, and spa services using exclusively Aveda products.

Types of Messages

  • Appointment reminders: Automated reminders sent prior to your scheduled appointment with date, time, and location details.
  • Appointment confirmations: Confirmation messages sent when you book or reschedule an appointment.
  • Promotional offers: Special deals, seasonal promotions, and exclusive discounts on salon services and products.
  • Salon updates: Information about new services, schedule changes, holiday hours, and other relevant salon news.

6. User Responsibilities

By subscribing to our SMS program, you agree that:

  • You are the owner or authorized user of the mobile phone number provided
  • You are at least 18 years of age or have parental consent
  • You will notify us promptly if you change your phone number
  • The information you provide is accurate and complete
  • You understand that text messages are not encrypted and may not be secure
  • You will not use the SMS service for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose

7. Limitation of Liability

David Kim Salon is not liable for any delays or failures in the delivery of text messages. Message delivery is subject to your wireless carrier's network conditions and coverage. We are not responsible for messages that are undelivered, delayed, or misdirected due to carrier issues or technical problems beyond our control.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, David Kim Salon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the SMS program.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. We do not sell or share your phone number or personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued participation in the SMS program after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
